After installation, select the SCREEN SAVER SAMPLER by going to Control Panel \ Display \ Screen Savers and selecting "birdpixss" from the list of screen savers. You can adjust the speed of the image display by pushing the Setup button and moving the slider. Under the About menu item is full information about the SCREEN SAVER SAMPLER.
The SCREEN SAVER SAMPLER program was written in Visual Basic 5 by Kevin Gunn (kgunn@cjnetworks.com). It comes with a full setup program and can be completely uninstalled from Control Panel \ Add/Remove Programs. Please unzip this program using a decompression utility designed for Win95. 16-bit decompression utilities will shorten the file names and make the program impossible to install.
Unzip to an empty directory and double-click setup.exe to install. After installation, the unzipped files may be deleted from the directory.
Since this is a screen saver, it is designed to go into the Windows \ System directory. You may receive a message, when installation is complete, that the installation program was unable to create a program group and icons. This is OK!
Some programs, such as Quarterdeck's CleanSweep, use the same support files as the SCREEN SAVER SAMPLER. If you get an error message saying the SCREEN SAVER SAMPLER could not be installed, you will have to turn off the autoload features of any programs that load with Win95, reboot, and run the SCREEN SAVER SAMPLER setup program again. Merely closing the programs without rebooting will not help. The autoload features can be turned back on after installation is complete.
